Dinner with Mr President

A friend of ours and her 9 yr old daughter left a few days ago for a two (2) week missionary trip to Ghana, a country in West Africa. A couple weeks ago I asked her if she was taking her camera. “Oh, I need to buy a camera”, she said. OK, you know I was only asking because I wanted pictures for myself! Sameless I know, but I am at peace with it.

Mrs APB’s phone rang a couple times around 7am this morning while she was sleeping. Said to myself, who the heck is calling her this early in the morning. About a half hour later she checked her voicemail. It was our friend. Now, the backdrop is that President Obama is on a historic first visit to Africa. Back to the story … Our friend will be meeting President Obama at dinner tonight. Can you believe it??? You travel across to another continent and meet the President of your country. At dinner no less!

And what question did I immediately ask Mrs APB? (queue game show music) “Did she take a camera?” Thank God the answer was yes. Now I can only hope it gets put to good use. Film at 11 … we hope!
